6 yr old Ann was surrendered along with Joyce and both are learning what living in a home is all about. Both Ann and Joyce are enjoying running about the fenced in yard! House breaking is a work in progress. both are able to go up and down stairs but would be best in a non multi level home. The girls love their crate and you will often find them in just snuggled together. Both have transitioned to a raw naturally sourced diet and absolutely love it. The weight is starting to come off and they are feeling more lively. Leash walking is fine once on flat land and as confidence is gained. It will be best if Joyce and Ann are able to be adopted together.
Ann had a ruptured eardrum but is healing and no further bacterial growth.

Reminder: All dogs must be fed a raw, naturally sourced diet. Suggested sources are www.mypercarnivore.com and www. hare-today.com. If you are not a current raw feeder, please visit these sites and have a plan for future feeding prior to applying for adoption consideration.
Equally important is natural flea/tic prevention. Goods resources are BugOff from www.springtimeinc.com and Wondercide products from www.wondercide.com

Toby is fostering with another Cavalier and is enjoying his time with her. He loves his walks and loves visiting with other people and dogs along the way. Housebreaking is going well and the belly band is no longer needed! Toby is a complete snuggle bug, especially in the evening and also loves a warm sunny spot. toby has discovered toys and playing with toys and other dogs! It also has become clear Toby has an affinity with paper, esp magazines and books and has been known to remove them from the bedstand. ice cubes and an antler are also a favorite. he has yet to figure out how to jump up on to the couch but has figured a stool can help get up. Toby would do well in a rather settled home, with older children as he is curious and will not hesitate to explore closets, cabinets and check out new places.
Toby is enjoying his raw naturally sourced diet and is showing to be beneficial to healing old dermatitis.

**UPDATE 12/25/2021**
Mandy medically cleared and therefore moved on to her foster home! She is enjoying running and playing outside in the snow! Nothing is better in life than Mandy' mealtime, she thoroughly enjoys her raw diet. Almost as great as raw food is napping in front of the fireplace. Mandy is an absolute doll, a very easy girl who is learning life in a home is fantastic. She lives with other dogs, has not been exposed to children or cats. Mandy will do best with a human who is home most hours. A fenced yard is preferred, and leash walking will need work.

5 yr old Mandy is recovering from surgery for a mammary tumor and spay. We received word the tumor was non cancerous! Mandy is very shy and will not let a human get very close. We are working on knowing a human touch is good. Many has also been diagnosed with a ruptured eardrum and lots of bacteria. The foster mom has been cleaning and medicating 2 times a day. We are scheduled to see the vet for follow up next week.

June Bug AKA Junie is a very confident girl who wants the others to know she is present. Junie has also showed that she is very much a comfort dog. One of the fosters has a seizure disorder and Junie was the first to jump up to lay with her post seizure. She also does a cute little dance when excited for say food or to "go outside". Junie is leash trained and will go for walks with a little pep in her step. A fenced yard is always best but those dedicated to many walks a day will be considered. Junie is very used to her crate and will gladly go in on her own for a nap. She now sleeps in the bed with her human and other dogs. Junie has not been exposed to cats or children. Junie was spayed prior to coming to rescue. She has had a complete dental with extractions, brought up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Medically she does have a grade 4-5/6 heart murmur as well as a grade 4/4 luxating patellae, both asymptomatic and no medical attention required per our vet. Junie is eating her raw naturally sourced diet, which is rich in taurine and also raw goat milk also rich in taurine, which is helpfully in cardiac dogs. The mine per platter has proven to extra special to Junie as she has few teeth left and a flat surface makes it easier to eat.

Reminder: All dogs must be fed a raw, naturally sourced diet. Suggested sources are www.mypercarnivore.com and www.hare-today.com. If you are not a current raw feeder, please visit these sites and have a plan for future feeding prior to applying for adoption consideration.
